Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Customer Service
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
- Answer questions about programs, facility hours, and general policies, referring more detailed inquiries to a director.
- Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude at all times.
Snack Bar & Merchandise
- Operate and manage the snack bar during your shift.
- Restock food, drinks, and merchandise as needed.
- Keep the snack bar clean and organized, wiping down surfaces regularly and at end of shift.
- Secure the cash drawer and display a “Closed” sign if stepping away.
- Assist with merchandise sales, including apparel and gear, while tracking inventory as instructed.
Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling and enrolling clients in camps, leagues, and other programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Valley Athletics offerings to inform and promote them to families.
- Support the directors with light administrative or office duties as needed.
Facility Operations
- Help with the setup and takedown of volleyball nets, basketball hoops, and pickleball courts.
- Perform hourly restroom checks to ensure cleanliness and restocking & log each check.
- Empty garbage bins regularly and during events; re-line and dispose of waste in the designated commercial dumpster.
- Use wet-vac and broom to keep floors clean and address spills promptly.
- Focus end-of-shift cleaning on high-traffic areas like the front Teraflex flooring.
- Pick up litter around the building, parking lot, and cul-de-sac during slower periods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Friendly, responsible, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Previous customer service, food service, or cashier experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong computer literacy including data entry, filing, and document proofreading
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs
