What You’ll Get To Do
- Prepare complete controls engineering and controls build cost estimates for all related electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic logic, programming and design controls according to customer specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather essential information, guaranteeing alignment with project scopes.
- Attend strategic customer and internal meetings to fully grasp each project’s nuances, driving the success of our project proposals and costing.
- Co-ordinate with lead mechanical proposal estimator to develop proposed system controls architecture templates.
- Solicit component costs and maintain an updated database for component suppliers with related costs, working with SAP and Purchasing.
- Assist in developing new products, existing product improvements, and standards in proposal and costing.
- Line-up controls design sources to obtain competitive design quotes if required.
- Maintain tracking system for all change ECN’s or utilize CATS II as approved format.
- Experience: In cost estimating and formulating written proposals for Controls relative to automation and assembly systems. A background in controls and machine tool build is an asset.
- Qualifications: A degree/diploma in an applied technology (Mechanical or Electrical) or proven experience as a proposal and estimator in controls.
- Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic logic, programming and design controls in automation, extensive knowledge in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC Controls, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail and strong ability to adapt to changing projects requirements and customer needs.

- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment within various departments.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with the ability to travel outside of the United States.
