As an HR Advisor, you will partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources (HR) policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.

- Serve as point of contact for assigned HR areas, which may include: employee relations; training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action, and/or employment equity programs.
- Provide guidance to management and employees on HR-related concerns, coordinate with other departments as needed, and refer complex issue to higher levels.
- Participate in employee investigations and assist with providing recommendations on resolutions.
- Participate in grievance procedures and exit interviews.
- Review data and assist with communicating recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Initiate and complete processing of all duties involved in employment, termination, transfer, and promotion of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
- Design and run monthly reports.
- Perform data entry into SAP and send related documents to FileNet.
- Research and send employee information to Compensation when requesting salary recommendations
- Assist with special projects and functions of the department.
- Assist lower level HR staff as needed.
- Give overview of HR policies to new hires.

Minimum Requirements
- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of professional-level Human Resources experience required.
- Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area preferred.
- PHR certification preferred.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
