Position Overview
Valens is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Key Personnel – Army Service Component Command (ASCC) Program Support. This role supports the integration of ASCC expertise into the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) curriculum and broader academic programming, contributing to course development, research, and strategic leadership education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary integrator for ASCC education across the USAWC curriculum
- Develop and deliver courses, lessons, and academic materials related to Theater Army processes, policies, and procedures
- Support and facilitate ASCC-related meetings, exercises, and symposia
- Provide subject matter expertise, as well as administrative and intellectual support for research and program initiatives
- Maintain continuity and stability of workforce; coordinate timely replacement of personnel when necessary (subject to COR review and acceptance)
- Attend and participate in scheduled and unscheduled meetings, conferences, and briefings as required
- Ensure compliance with all security, access, and training requirements outlined in the contract cope, research, and draft polished, precise, and insightful client products on topics related to national security
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Education: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Strategic Studies, Leadership, Military Arts and Science, Military History, or management of large organizations)
- Professional Military Education: Completion of advanced PME (minimum Intermediate-Level Education as defined by CJCSI 1800.01F)
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning and operations at echelons above brigade
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (or interim) in DISS at time of submission, with the ability to maintain throughout contract performance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent efforts, and communicate effectively with senior Army leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting senior-level military education (e.g., USAWC or equivalent)
- Background in Theater Army or ASCC-level operations and planning
- Experience in curriculum development, instruction, or facilitation in a professional military or academic environment
