Schedule:

Requirements of the Commercial Plumbing Estimator:
- Minimum 2 years of experience preparing estimates within commercial plumbing (preferably new builds)
- Ability to evaluate drawings, quantify materials, and assemble complete cost proposals
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to structure project data clearly
- Capable of building positive relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Familiarity with industry software used for estimating and general office applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Estimating, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
- Valid driver’s license for periodic regional travel
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Knowledge of construction standards, codes, and job-site safety practices
- Review construction documents, interpret scope requirements, and prepare detailed takeoffs
- Build cost breakdowns including labor, subcontractors, materials, rental equipment, and overhead
- Organize bid packages and ensure all cost components are fully documented
- Monitor pricing trends and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers
- Coordinate with internal teams to refine cost assumptions and address project questions
- Assist in preparing proposals and submitting them within required timelines
- Maintain job history files and ensure accurate documentation for awarded projects
- Evaluate risk, lead times, and critical factors to support high-quality bid submissions
- Contribute recommendations aimed at strengthening cost efficiency and project profitability
- Support as needed
