Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Hialeah, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Accounting Specialist to work onsite for an opportunity paying $21 - $26 per hour, based on experience. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who is proficient in Excel and comfortable with day-to-day bookkeeping, along with some familiarity with inventory. The role centers on keeping daily financial records accurate and backing up the monthly books in a fast-moving manufacturing company.

Requirements of the Accounting Specialist:

• Hands-on background with core accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger upkeep
• Some familiarity with inventory records and stock-cost tracking
• Ability to reconcile accounts
• Comfort assisting with monthly close activities and routine reporting
• Dependable team player who communicates clearly with colleagues in other departments
• Roughly at least 2-4 years of general accounting experience
• A college education in accounting, business, finance, or comparable field is preferred, though not mandatory
• Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and formula-driven reports
• Experience within a manufacturing company is viewed favorably
• Keen eye for numerical accuracy, paired with a methodical, well-organized work style
• Comfort working in an ERP or accounting software platform, along with the Microsoft Office suite
  
  
  

Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist:

• Record and process daily accounting transactions supporting payables, receivables, and ledger postings
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Track inventory-related costs and help ensure stock records align with the general ledger
• Build spreadsheets and reports in Excel to inform management decisions
• Contribute to each period-end close by preparing adjusting entries and accrual schedules
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production staff to clear up pricing or quantity questions
• Keep files, documentation, and audit support organized and easily accessible
• Pitch in on special projects and data clean-up efforts as they arise
