What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduling Manager position at VALDESE WEAVERS LLC?
Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.
Job Summary:
Facilitate the scheduling and planning of the weave room for maximum efficiency and on-time customer order delivery across all shifts.
Essential Functions:
Direct Logistics associates to ensure efficient scheduling and planning looms that result in on-time delivery while optimizing weave room output.
Analyze open customer orders and late order analysis and work with prep departments to expedite components as needed.
Analyze total order volume to ensure sufficient weaving capacity by machine type and work with manufacturing to make necessary changes to best suite product mix
Review loom schedule sheets daily to ensure proper attention to looms is occurring
Provide backup to Logistics Assistants.
Manage weekly loom layouts
Manage Loom Hierarchy Table
Work with sales management on priorities and lead times when loom capacity is extended.
Perform other duties needed to do the job or as required by the supervisor.
Safety:
Safely perform all duties following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
