What are the responsibilities and job description for the FINISH MACHINE ATTENDANT - 1st SHIFT - $16.75 position at VALDESE WEAVERS LLC?

Job Summary: Ensure quality of fabric coming out of the finishing range.
Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
- Watch fabric as it exits the finishing range, making sure it comes out straight without bow or bias. Also make sure cloth is drying properly. Let coater operator know if there are any problems with fabric or finish (i.e.Streaking).Measure coating to make sure the width is correct.
- Check Teflon coating with oil test where applicable and advise coater operator if test fails.
- Stamp process and date on tickets.
- Make sure tickets and piece numbers match fabric.
- Send or take fabric to a roll up (post inspector). Be sure to let him know if there are any rush orders which need to inspected first.
- Clean range on a regular schedule as directed by supervisor
- Assist coater operator.
- Operate equipment properly. Report malfunctions or maintenance concerns to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety:
- Ear plugs are required.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
- Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
- Maintain 5 S standards.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Be proficient in reading and writing English in order to follow special instructions and directions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be willing and able to work seven days per week.
- Good physical condition to move buggies and T frames.
- Willing to obtain PIT operator license
