What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAP ABAP IS-U Consultant position at Valcan IT Inc?
Develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP programs in ECC and S/4HANA systems
Work on Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF objects)
Design and develop CDS Views, AMDP, and Native HANA artifacts
Perform code optimization and performance tuning using HANA capabilities
Develop and maintain OData services and integrations
Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Support data migration and system upgrades (ECC to S/4HANA)
Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Follow best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
Strong experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA
Requirements
Core ABAP (Reports, ALV, BAPI, BADI, Enhancements, SmartForms/Adobe Forms)
HANA Development (CDS Views, AMDP, Code Pushdown techniques)
Experience with OData, SAP Gateway, and APIs
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
Good understanding of SAP functional modules (IS-U, FI, MM, SD, etc.)
Experience with Native HANA (SQLScript, Calculation Views) is a plus
