This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their expertise and work toward professional designation in a supportive, collaborative setting. This is an in-office position with eventual possibility of some remote work opportunity, based on performance and tenure.

• Obtain an Appraiser Trainee license within 6 months of starting employment if you do not already have an active Trainee license.
• Prepare appraisals of commercial properties and land for bank lending, property tax appeal, eminent domain, and other purposes
• Lead the appraisal process in collaboration with a Team Lead
• Evaluate properties to establish market values and property ratings using internal and external sources
• Conduct property tours and interview market participants
• Manage various assignments, keeping multiple priorities on schedule
• Prepare clear, comprehensive reports that explain results and outline methods used
• Stay current with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the appraisal industry
• Work toward obtaining Certified General licensure
• Participate in weekly meetings with your Team Lead, biweekly Team Meetings and monthly company-wide meetings as well as training opportunities
• Participate in industry events and organizations to develop relationships in the commercial real estate industry
What You'll Bring
• Minimum one year experience in commercial real estate appraisal.
• Current driver's license
• Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex data clearly and confidently
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office; experience with ARGUS, CoStar, LoopNet, or similar platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with current industry regulations, rules, and standards
• Sharp attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
• A desire to earn the MAI designation is preferred and encouraged
• No visa sponsorship required. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Why Join Valbridge Property Advisors?
• Collaborative, team-first culture with weekly team meetings and mentorship from experienced professionals
• Opportunities to grow your career and work toward the MAI designation
• Meaningful, varied work across a wide range of commercial property types
