Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach for each vehicle.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, resolving issues with tact and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle details, and service reports for record-keeping purposes.
- Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles with a valid driver’s license for heavy-duty or commercial driving.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and working with manual transmissions.
- Familiarity with automotive repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols related to vehicle recovery.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally in high-pressure situations.
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background is highly desirable to troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience driving tow trucks or similar vehicles is preferred.
