In this vital role, you'll operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across designated routes.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Deliver various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, route details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT standards.
• Follow route schedules diligently while adapting to traffic conditions to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks, especially with manual transmissions.
• Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving.
• Ability to handle freight securely using equipment like forklifts or other loading tools when necessary.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation.
