Remote Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly technical Staff Software Engineer to lead architectural design, technical strategy, and engineering standards for digital pharmacy platforms. This individual contributor role involves defining long-term visions, driving microservices and API design, and ensuring system scalability, security, and resilience within AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Establishing system architecture and data pipelines while guiding cross-functional teams.

• Code & Engineering Standards: Writing optimized code, leading code reviews, and promoting best practices.

• System Performance & Scalability: Diagnosing issues, optimizing workloads, and ensuring platform reliability.

• Collaboration & Mentorship: Supporting engineering teams, translating complex problems into actionable solutions, and working with product and operational teams.

• Security & Compliance: Designing systems compliant with healthcare regulations safeguarding patient data.

• Innovation & R&D: Exploring emerging technologies, building prototypes, and supporting modernization efforts.
  
  

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field; 8 years in software engineering, with 3 years in technical leadership roles.

• Expertise in Ruby on Rails or Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, and system design for high-volume, API-driven platforms.

• Strong communication skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
