Part Time - Cashier

Role: Cashier responsible for operating the cash register and electronic scanner to process customer transactions, itemize purchases, and assist with bagging while providing courteous service.

• Responsibilities: Handle various product types, process payments (cash, credit, checks, food stamps, loyalty cards, coupons), weigh and bag items, ensure accurate pricing, and communicate store promotions and programs to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and security policies, and assist with stocking as needed.
• Follow all safety, food safety, PPE, and guest experience guidelines, and perform assigned tasks across departments when required.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  
  

Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods, and working in varied temperatures and conditions.
