What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Vail Tax & Accounting?
Our vibrant public accounting firm in the heart of the beautiful Vail Valley is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team.
We're a small, tight-knit group that loves what we do to help our local small business clients, and we're searching for someone who can keep up with our seasonally fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, or a degree in similar field.
- QuickBooks certification is a plus (but we're happy to train the right person)
- A eagle eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
- The ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- A sense of humor (trust us, it helps when balancing those tricky accounts!)
Your day-to-day adventures will include data entry, bank reconciliations, bill pay and deposit processing as well as various accounting projects as requested by our clients and staff.
In some cases you'll work directly with local small businesses. It's rewarding work that makes a real difference in our community.
