THE ROLE: We are currently seeking a motivated individual for our facility in Mars, Pennsylvania as an Assembler.  This position performs a wide range of skilled repetitive assembly operations to produce quality products in a timely manner; performs operations from work instructions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble, test, and inspect multiple product types from start to finish. 
• Work closely with the operations support team. (Planning, Shop Leads, Machining, Engineering, Quality, and procurement)
• Responsible for maintaining quality expectations and hitting daily production goals.
• Prepare orders for shipping with proper documentation.
• Complete all related paperwork - work orders, inspection documents, and tracking sheets as required. 
• Ability to use SAP is preferred.
• Assist with lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Flex to other areas as the production schedule dictates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Over three years of related experience or equivalent.

• Ability to identify colors.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl

• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate during work activities
• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 30 pounds
• Frequently required to communicate orally.
• Ability to use hands and fingers dexterously to operate the equipment.
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
