POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Inside Salesperson Date: November 2025
Reports To: International Sales Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY
The VBC Inside Salesperson is responsible for initiating and cultivating professional relationships with current and prospective customers. Primary responsibilities include preparing spare parts quotations and processing sales orders. As an integral member of the sales team, they oversee order entry, develop price sheets, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver exemplary customer service in response to all inquiries and concerns.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Initial customer contact for any technical, sales, and service issues.
Track all incoming and outgoing calls and emails.
Manage order entry for outside sales agents and spare parts. Review and enter orders accurately. Confirm all necessary details.
Daily order entry.
Critique each order for accuracy with close review of special orders, instructions, and pricing.
Attend weekly production meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Project confidence, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 years of customer service experience.
Proven experience in a sales or customer service position within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system preferred.
General knowledge and understanding of the product line and industries we serve.
