Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures by performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure projects progress efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across multiple facets of construction, including concrete work, framing, roofing, and restoration projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction plans accurately
- Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, and other structural components following blueprint specifications
- Perform concrete-related tasks including pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to ensure high-quality results
- Carry out masonry work, stucco application, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry to enhance building aesthetics and durability
- Support roofing installation and restoration projects while adhering to safety regulations and best practices
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks necessary for framing, flooring installation, or renovation projects
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for everyone on-site
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpretation of technical drawings, and schematics is beneficial
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing, cutting, pouring, and pumping techniques is advantageous
- Practical understanding of construction site safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience in masonry, roofing, restoration work, or heavy equipment operation will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during various phases of construction work
