Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to support various trades
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and building supplies
- Support concrete work including mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of plans
- Install rebar, metal stud framing, drywall, stucco, tile, flooring, and perform masonry tasks as needed
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with demolition, renovation, restoration projects, roofing, and other specialty tasks as assigned
- Operate concrete pumps and mixers; support concrete cutting and finishing processes
- Support carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and framing; perform caulking and plastering for finishing touches
- Support the installation of heavy equipment or scaffolding when required for project access
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings is highly desirable
- Experience with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, or related masonry work is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and basic machinery safely and efficiently
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical labor including heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in a fast-paced environment
