Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Reporting

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting as needed.
  
  

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with collections activities and cash application processes.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  
  

Month-End & Year-End Close

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations required for financial close.
  
  

Account Reconciliations & Analysis

• Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
  
  

Compliance & Audit Support

• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and requested documentation.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting controls and process improvements.
  
  

Qualifications



Education

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 2 years of accounting experience in a Staff Accountant, Accounting Specialist, or similar accounting role.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting preferred.
