Senior Accounting Manager
Location: Daytona Beach, FL (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite / 2 Remote)
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Company:
A well-established and growing organization in Daytona Beach is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations, oversee month-end close, and support strategic financial initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting and leadership responsibilities.
Oversee the full month-end and year-end close process
Manage and mentor a small accounting team (AP/AR/GL staff)
Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Lead cash management, forecasting, and budgeting support
Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
Partner with leadership on financial analysis and strategic planning
Coordinate annual audits and act as primary point of contact with external auditors
Improve processes, implement efficiencies, and enhance reporting capabilities
Support special projects, system enhancements, and company initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience managing month-end close required
Advanced Excel skills preferred
CPA, MBA, or public accounting experience is a plus
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Daytona Beach / 2 days remote
Monday-Friday

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
