Senior SOX Compliance Analyst
Salary: $95-120k
Location: San Diego - Hybrid (2 days on-site)

We're working with a well-established and rapidly expanding biotechnology client in San Diego that's looking to add a Senior SOX Compliance Analyst to their Finance & Accounting team. This is a key role supporting risk management, internal controls, and financial compliance across a dynamic multi-entity organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with annual and ongoing SOX scoping to evaluate key accounts, systems, and processes

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to design, update, and document controls and anticipate testing requirements

  • Facilitate walkthroughs, testing, and remediation planning with control owners and auditors

  • Maintain and update SOX documentation, including the risk/control matrix and quarterly certifications, using AuditBoard

  • Support assessments of control deficiencies and help drive resolution efforts

  • Promote awareness of risk and control responsibilities across departments

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3 years of relevant experience, ideally combining public accounting and public company exposure

  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, U.S. GAAP, and internal control frameworks

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Experience with AuditBoard and NetSuite is a plus

  • CPA or CIA certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $95,000-$120,000, depending on experience

  • Bonus eligibility and long-term equity incentives

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
