Title:SEC/Technical Accounting Consultant

- Lead monthly and quarterly consolidation activities across multiple entities and investment structures.
- Evaluate and maintain accounting conclusions related to consolidation matters, including ASC 810 and variable interest entity (VIE) considerations.
- Prepare and review consolidation entries, eliminations, supporting schedules, and analyses supporting the close and reporting processes.
- Research, document, and support accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions
- Develop and maintain technical accounting policies and procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation and review of SEC filings and related financial statement disclosures.
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure the accurate integration of investment entities and other structures into consolidated financial statements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors regarding technical accounting and consolidation matters.
- Support and enhance the SOX control environment related to financial reporting and accounting operations.
- Mentor junior accounting professionals, provide technical guidance, and lead key project workstreams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation required.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience within a public company, multinational organization, or similarly complex environment.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, including consolidation accounting and technical accounting research.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and documenting accounting positions for complex transactions.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and supporting external audits.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Public accounting background, ideally with a Big 4 or nationally recognized accounting firm.
- Experience within asset management, alternative investments, private equity, investment partnerships, or other complex financial services environments.
- Exposure to public company financial reporting and SEC compliance.
- Knowledge of fund structures, partnership accounting, and related reporting considerations.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to leverage technology to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
