We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's team onsite. This role is responsible for processing multi-state payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery and have a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, deductions, and compliance requirements across various states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end multi-state, bi-weekly/weekly/semi-monthly payroll for 6000 employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, garnishments, and deductions.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings (e.g., 941s, W-2s, 1099s).
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefits, deductions, and timekeeping data.
- Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and assist in month-end close processes.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations across multiple states.
- Assist in audits, including internal, external, and governmental audits.
- 3 years of payroll experience, with a strong focus on multi-state payroll processing.
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- ADP preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $75,000
