Role: Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/annually
Location: Philadelphia, PA - *5 days a week on-site*
Job Description:
-Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and meetings
-Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
-Drafts discovery demands and responses, including, but not limited to, Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection and Requests for Admissions
-Processes deposition transcripts
-Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders
-Assists with drafting documents such as: Motion to Strike, Motion for Continuances, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, Evidentiary Objections, etc
-Assists with e-filing in State, Federal and Appellate Courts and checks the Court's local rules
-Prepares timelines and demonstrative exhibits
-Drafts routine legal correspondence
-Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, etc
-Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping
-Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters
-Performs legal research through WestLaw
-Assisting with office administration tasks
-Reviews, summarize and analyze medical records to assist with defense of action
-Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations.
