Vaco is partnering with a growing and established organization to hire an Accounting Manager. This position will oversee key accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, audit support, and process improvement initiatives while serving as a leader within a collaborative accounting team. Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support technical accounting research and application of U.S. GAAP
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams on accounting-related initiatives and transactions
• Assist with financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance requirements
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency projects across the accounting function
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to support decision-making
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff in a collaborative environment
• Participate in special projects and strategic business initiatives as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required or actively pursuing with significant progress preferred
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Open to experienced Accounting Managers and high-performing Senior Accountants ready for the next step
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Experience working in a complex or multi-entity environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, improve processes, and influence business partners
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Compensation & Benefits

• $135,000-$150,000 base salary
