Job Title: IT Manager - Warehouse
About the Role:
We are seeking an IT Manager to oversee IT infrastructure and operations within a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment. The manager will lead a local IT team, support operations, and drive projects that enhance system performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations for warehouse systems and infrastructure.
Administer servers, desktops, printers, wireless devices, phones, and related hardware/software.
Support WMS, automation, robotics, and business systems; troubleshoot and escalate issues when necessary.
Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimization initiatives.
Manage updates, configuration, and maintenance of warehouse technologies.
Ensure uptime, reliability, and security compliance for all critical IT systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system improvements and support process enhancements.
Lead or participate in IT projects, system upgrades, rollouts, and vendor engagements.
Requirements:
7 years of IT systems management experience, ideally in warehouse or distribution environments.
Hands-on experience with warehouse automation, robotics, and WMS/WES/MHS systems.
Strong knowledge of network configuration, wireless technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VMware.
Experience with peripheral devices such as barcode scanners, printers, and mobile devices.
Proven ability to collaborate across operations and technical teams.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and metrics-driven problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor management capabilities.
Nice to have: experience in security compliance, preventive maintenance, and strategic IT planning.
Work Environment & Location:
Based in North Carolina (regional, in-person role).
Hands-on role in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
