Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor. The Internal Auditor will play a vital role in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This position will conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulations, identify areas for improvement, and help safeguard theorganization's assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas to assess risk management processes and internal controls.
- Evaluate financial statements and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Identify risks and areas of improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Prepare and present audit findings, including reports that summarize conclusions and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote best practices and support operational efficiency.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, auditing standards, and best practices.
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan and conduct risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk management practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with others.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
