Interim Senior Accountant (Contract)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Start: ASAP

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide interim support during a period of organizational transition. This role will focus heavily on month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support, while also assisting with accounts payable operations as needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the multi-entity month-end close process
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with annual audit preparation and execution, including meeting tight deadlines
• Provide day-to-day support for accounts payable, including invoice review and processing
• Review existing accounting work for accuracy; identify and flag issues or inconsistencies
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Contribute to process improvement efforts as appropriate during the engagement

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable stepping into environments with changing priorities
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
• Prior experience supporting or working through audits
• Background in multi-entity accounting environments
