HR Generalist

Let Vaco recruiters advocate for you! We are currently looking for an HR Generalist to support the full range of human resources for a growing company. This role works closely with leadership and employees to ensure HR practices are practical, compliant, and aligned with the firm's culture and business objectives.
This position is hands-on and best suited for someone who enjoys balancing employee support with operational responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing

• 
  Act as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, workplace issues, and day-to-day HR questions
• 
  Coordinate hiring efforts across multiple departments, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding logistics
• 
  Partner with managers on performance discussions, documentation, and employee development needs
• 
  Manage employee lifecycle processes such as new hire onboarding, role changes, leaves, and offboarding
• 
  Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of personnel records, ensuring readiness for audits and regulatory reviews
• 
  Support benefits administration, including employee inquiries, enrollments, and coordination with vendors
• 
  Assist with compliance-related requirements common in financial services, such as background checks, licensing documentation, and training tracking
• 
  Contribute to compensation planning activities, including salary reviews and incentive administration
• 
  Support internal reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations related to HR practices
• 
  Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and help implement practical solutions
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• 
  Several years of generalist HR experience, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated industry
• 
  Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
• 
  Comfort working with confidential information and sensitive employee matters
• 
  Experience working with HR systems and standard business software
• 
  HR certification is a plus, but not required
