Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team, including a newly transitioned accountant from FP&A and other accounting staff.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining strong internal controls.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, supporting the Director of Accounting in reporting to corporate leadership.
- ERP & Systems: Work closely with IT and finance leadership to ensure smooth integration with SAP and other financial systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, treasury, and operations to support business objectives.
- Acquisition Support: Assist in financial due diligence and integration efforts as the company expands U.S. production through acquisitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or parts distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop accounting team members.
- Ability to work in a global organization and collaborate across multiple locations.
