What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookeeper position at Vaco by Highspring?
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions: Record financial transactions, post debits and credits, and handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payroll: Manage payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and tax filings, staying up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Generate financial reports: Create financial statements, balance sheets, and other reports to provide a clear financial picture for clients and management.
- Handle client and administrative duties: Process client deposits, manage petty cash, and complete various administrative bookkeeping tasks.
- Maintain records: Ensure all financial records are kept accurate, organized, and confidential.
- 3 years bookkeeping/accounting experience, including managing multiple client books concurrently.
- Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals and bookkeeping controls.
- Experience preparing month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement generation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize across multiple client deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
- Experience with payroll processing, sales tax, or small business accounting a plus.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
