AP Manager (NetSuite Required)

Role: Accounts Payable Manager
On-Site: 4x a week (Mon-Thurs): WFH Fridays
Location: Atlanta - Midtown
Salary Range: $95,000-105,000/year Bonus

Vaco is currently partnering with a growing client in the construction industry seeking an AP Manager. The Accounts Payable Manager oversees all daily AP operations, ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor management, reconciliations, and reporting. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, deep AP expertise, and advanced NetSuite proficiency to support high‑volume facility and project‑based construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise AP staff (4-5 employees); manage daily workflow, accuracy, and compliance
• Oversee full‑cycle AP: invoice review, coding, approvals, three‑way match, payment runs, and documentation
• Ensure correct allocation of costs to facilities, clients, departments, projects, contracts, and GL accounts
• Process high‑volume operational invoices (maintenance, utilities, subcontractors, materials, services)
• Manage recurring invoices, POs, service agreements, and contract‑based billing
• Reconcile vendor statements, AP subledger, credit card accounts, and selected GL accounts
• Support month‑end close, accruals, AP aging, and reporting
• Serve as primary vendor contact; resolve discrepancies, disputes, and payment issues
• Provide AP data for facility reporting, project cost tracking, and management reviews
• Implement process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support AP automation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (REQUIRED)
• 8-10 years progressive Accounts Payable experience at a large organization (REQUIRED)
• 2-5 years supervisory/management experience of 4-7 employees (REQUIRED)
• 2 years of recent NetSuite ERP experience (REQUIRED)
• Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, Lookups, formulas, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of AP aging, reconciliations, month‑end close, and AP controls
• Experience with construction or subcontractor invoices/pay applications
• Ability to analyze large transaction volumes, resolve issues independently, and manage strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
• High attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving
• Good job stability & progressive working experience is highly preferred.
