We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's Accounting team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build their experience with a growing organization and potentially transition into a permanent position.

The AP Specialist will help ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting vendor relationships and maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of financial information.

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Enter invoice and general ledger data accurately and efficiently
• Process accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records
• Perform credit card and bank account reconciliations
• Generate purchase orders when necessary
• Prepare checks and obtain required signatures
• Help maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely and accurate payments
• Assist with improving and streamlining accounts payable processes
• Support senior members of the Finance and Accounting team as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of company and vendor information
• Follow applicable financial policies, procedures, and regulations
  
  

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of accounting, finance, and bookkeeping principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience with accounting software and online financial platforms
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
