Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join the Accounting team of an established and growing company. This position is responsible for managing customer invoicing, payment application, collections support, and other accounting-related functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong billing experience, including AIA billing, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage customer invoicing, including monthly contracts, time & materials, and AIA billing
• Post customer payments and accurately apply them to the appropriate invoices
• Assist with collection activities for overdue customer accounts through phone calls, emails, and other communications
• Track retainage and coordinate requests for retainage release when appropriate
• Maintain accurate billing and customer account records
• Utilize online customer billing portals and accounting systems
• Assist with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed
• Support the A/R Manager and Accounting Department with special projects
  
  

• 5 years of customer invoicing/billing experience, including at least 2 years of AIA billing experience
• 3 years of experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Experience with Textura, Procore, or similar customer billing portals
• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills and professional phone/email etiquette
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and transition between tasks efficiently
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist where needed
• Experience in construction, contracting, landscaping, or a related industry is strongly preferred
