Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Analyze and report on financial variances to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles (GAAP).
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and ensure financial data accuracy.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP).
