Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, social skills, and emotional development.
• Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, play-based learning, and creative exploration to support diverse learning styles.
• Manage classroom environments effectively by establishing routines, setting clear expectations, and maintaining positive behavior management strategies.
• Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among preschool children.
• Assess individual student progress through observations and documentation to tailor instruction and support each child's unique needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development, milestones, and classroom activities to promote collaborative support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, educational projects, and inclusive activities that promote community engagement.
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working with specialists when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with safety regulations and promotes optimal learning conditions.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, behavior management techniques, or special education practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience working with children with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with early literacy education, math concepts for preschoolers, and Montessori or similar pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
• Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; relevant coursework or degrees are highly valued.
• Ability to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
