Overview
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Class 8 CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team operating directly out of the Ports of Virginia. Our fleet utilizes well-maintained day cabs equipped with 10-speed manual transmissions. We focus strictly on local hauling, meaning no over-the-road (OTR) grinds—you stay close to home.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 8 day cab with a 10-speed manual transmission.
- Transport freight locally, primarily operating in and out of the Ports of Virginia terminals.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and safely delivered to local destinations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, port security protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch and accurately log hours/delivery details.
Experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
- Proven experience driving heavy commercial vehicles with a 10-speed manual transmission (must be comfortable testing/operating manual).
- TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or ability to obtain one immediately for port access.
- Clean driving record and solid work history.
- Strong safety-first mindset and dependable work ethic.
Pay: $600.00 - $1,500.00 per week
