The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Program Specialist at Wade Park. The Program Specialist will function in the Primary Care/Women's Health within Community Outpatient Service.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. - Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight by monitoring administrative reports brining discrepancies, trends and
- outliers to the attention of the Facility Director
- Provides administrative support to all areas within the Community Outpatient Services
- (COPS), including scheduling, vet choice, recall, travel, etc.
- Responsible for coordinating, directing and assuring inconsistencies on reports is corrected
- and deadlines for completion of reports is met.
- Independently analyzes and evaluates the efficency of reports to ensure that the VHA goals
- and objectives are met if required inform the specific Facility Director of the outpatient clinic
- that correction action is needed.
- Works independently to interpret any and all regulatory guidance establishing a strategy/
- action plan and prepare a status report for review by the Facility Director
- Serves as liaison between the Assistant Director and subordinates
- Appropriates control systems is maintained to ensure that due dates of reports or
- correspondence is met
- Ensures all administrative and staff member is current on training and educational
- requirements necessary to perform job duties
- Maintain time cards is accurate for all clinics and all clinic directors, and that time cards is
- submitted to certifying officials in a timely manner in order to meet payroll deadlines
- Works to identify process issues and area for improvement
