Schedule
- Full-time, 0.8 FTE (32hours/week)
- Sunday - Wednesday10:30a-7:00p
- Rotating holidays required
- BHS: Starting hourly range between $20.00-25.00
How Behavior Health Specialists Empower Recovery
- Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups (including CBT and DBT), self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement.
- Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks.
- Provides milieu support.
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment.
- Participates in client therapeutic outings.
- May meet with residents to provide support and provide in-the-moment skills coaching.
- Supports individualized treatment plans as developed by therapist and treatment team.
- Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, and/or case consultation meetings.
- Participates in scheduled supervision meetings and seeks supervision when needed.
- Ability to engage, coach, monitor, and support residents as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree in a mental, behavioral, counseling, or behavioral sciences health-related field is strongly preferred.
- An associate’s degree may be considered if combined with equivalent experience in the mental or behavioral health field.
- Regardless of degree, a minimum of 1 years of direct patient care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting is required.
