This is an overnight leadership role working 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading production employees, supporting daily production goals, enforcing GMPs and food safety standards, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and accountable work environment.

Food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Qualified candidates should have previous lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

Position Summary

VA Coaching & Consulting – Talent & HR Solutions is partnering with a growing food manufacturing client in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to identify a strong 3rd Shift Production Supervisor.

This role is responsible for leading overnight production operations, supervising production employees, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring that all production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, GMPs, and food manufacturing requirements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in food manufacturing, production supervision, employee accountability, and working in a fast-paced plant environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead 3rd shift production employees during the overnight shift.
• Ensure production schedules are followed and completed according to customer and operational requirements.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, safety practices, and productivity.
• Enforce GMP policies, food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and company standards.
• Support quality, safety, and compliance expectations throughout the shift.
• Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Shipping, Sanitation, and other departments as needed.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production goals.
• Identify production issues, staffing concerns, equipment problems, or quality risks and escalate as needed.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and following SOPs, safety procedures, and plant rules.
• Maintain accurate shift communication, production notes, and handoff information for the next shift.
• Promote a positive, accountable, and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and plant compliance expectations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work overnight shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Ability to coach employees, hold team members accountable, and maintain production standards.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
• Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership of the 3rd shift, communicate clearly with team members, follow food safety and GMP standards, and keep production moving while maintaining accountability and safety.

This person should be comfortable working hands-on with the team, making decisions during the shift, and ensuring that employees follow proper procedures.
