Join our dedicated team as a Veteran Claims Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in managing and processing veteran benefit claims with precision and compassion. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in communications, administrative data entry, following up, and documentation to streamline the claims process and provide exceptional service to our veteran clients.
Responsibilities
- Call, email, text and otherwise actively communicate with contracted veteran clients in order to process their claims by completing our questionnaire and then using our forms or VA forms to prepare veteran's claims
- Update and maintain records of veteran communications and statuses in Pipedrive CRM and Slack using simple slash commands
- Communicate daily and expeditiously during regular working hours as needed with team members in Slack, Google Voice, Email, etc..
- Review and process different types of veteran's benefits claims using our automated software, or by completing PDF versions of the claims as needed, ensuring all medical records, documentation, and supporting materials are complete and accurate
- Coordinate with veterans to gather necessary information for claim adjudication
- Conduct detailed analysis of medical records to validate diagnoses and procedures for claims
- Utilize risk management techniques to identify high-risk and low-risk clients
- Apply negotiation skills to resolve claim disputes effectively while advocating for veterans’ benefits
- Maintain records using Pipedrive CRM, Slack, and our other online software systems; ensure all documentation aligns with organizational policies and legal requirements
Skills
- Strong administrative/paperwork/data entry skills to handle claims
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex medical records, technical reports, and claim documents
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in medical terminology, as it relates to claims processing
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders including healthcare providers and legal entities as needed
