The incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer for the Logistics Service within the VA Health Care System in Brockton, Massachusetts. Providing administrative oversight in areas such as budget and fiscal management, human resources coordination, contracting support, space and property management, and general program operations.

Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: managing budget activities; coordinating the administrative functions of a program or service; track personnel actions such as recruitment, awards, and training; support contract administration activities; and coordinating space, property, or supply management functions; and preparing letters, reports and presentation.~OR~

Responsibilities:
***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION***Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Provides administrative oversight for Logistics Service operations within the VA Health Care System.
- Develops and implements internal administrative procedures to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and organizational goals.
- Prepares and reviews reports, correspondence, and briefing materials to support leadership decision-making.
- Coordinates personnel management activities, including recruitment, awards, training compliance, and performance management tracking.
- Assists in budget formulation and execution by monitoring expenditures and reconciling purchase card transactions.
- Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or contract liaison, preparing procurement requests and monitoring contract performance.
- Oversees purchasing activities to ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and internal controls.
- Coordinates space, property, and equipment management activities to support operational readiness.
- Represents the service at meetings and committees and communicates administrative guidance to staff.
- Analyzes program data and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
