What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bridge/Structural Engineer position at V3 Companies Ltd?
V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Bridge Structural Engineer in our Columbus, OH office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world.
You'll change the shape of your community by connecting people and designing roads, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Transportation Planning and Design team, you will collaborate with 450 designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.
Here's what you'll do:
- Prepare engineering drawings.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
- Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
- Prepare construction specifications.
- Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
We're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university. Master’s degree with a structural focus is a plus.
- 4 years of bridge design, analysis, and load rating.
- Experience in projects for clients such as ODOT, County and local municipalities.
- Proficient in MicroStation /OpenRoads Designer CE. Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus.
- Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, STAAD) is a plus.
- PE license is a plus.
