Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
The position is expected to operate with appreciable independence, apply sound technical judgment, support mission priorities and service-level objectives, and provide professional, customer-focused assistance in person, by telephone, through remote-support technologies, and electronically. The role may also provide technical guidance to junior support personnel and contribute to knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, service improvement, and performance metrics.

Receive, analyze, document, prioritize, troubleshoot, resolve, and/or escalate incidents and service requests using the Government-approved IT service management (ITSM) / ticketing platform. Diagnose hardware and software problems through user interviews, remote support, technical research, testing, and hands-on troubleshooting.

- Support Navy ERP application users across all system commands 20%
- Application Troubleshooting/Support 10%
- Account/Access Management 10%
- Support Business Financial Managers with Project Initiation Documents. 10%
- SAAR-N/PAA form validation 5%
- Base Telephone Office support
Education / Certifications
- One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- BA/BS Degree from an accredited college/university
- Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Skills and Technology
- 3 years performing related IT work
- ServiceNow Assistance Portal (SNAP) ITSM ticketing tool
- Microsoft Office products
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment
