Job Title: Range & Efficiency CAE Specialist

Location: Novi, MI (Onsite/Hybrid)

Role Description

We are seeking a Range & Efficiency CAE Specialist to improve vehicle energy efficiency and driving range for electric and hybrid platforms. The role involves developing and using vehicle-level simulation models to analyze energy consumption, identify losses, and optimize performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance aerodynamics, powertrain efficiency, and overall vehicle energy management. The position requires strong hands-on experience in modeling, simulation, and data analysis using MATLAB and Simulink, along with the ability to correlate simulation results with real-world vehicle data.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering

3 years of experience in automotive simulation, CAE, or model-based development

Must be proficient in MATLAB and Simulink

Strong hands-on experience in vehicle modeling, simulation, and analysis

Good understanding of vehicle energy consumption, efficiency, and powertrain systems

Experience with electric or hybrid vehicle platforms

Knowledge of model-based design (MBD) and system-level simulation

Basic scripting knowledge (Python/MATLAB) and strong analytical skills
