Position Summary
V2 Boat Center is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Detailer & Lot Porter to help maintain our inventory of boats, powersports vehicles, and facilities. This hands-on role is critical to keeping our lot and showroom looking sharp for customers shopping for new and pre-owned boats, Kawasaki motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and more. The ideal candidate takes pride in presentation, works safely, and enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailing & Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and detail boats, pontoons, jet skis, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and other powersports equipment both inside and out. This includes washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, window cleaning, and removing dirt, grease, and water spots to showroom-ready standards.
- Lot & Inventory Movement: Safely move boats, trailers, and powersports vehicles around the lot using a utility tractor and other equipment. Organize inventory displays and prepare units for delivery or customer viewing.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the service shop, showroom, and entire lot clean and organized. This includes sweeping, pressure washing, trash removal, and general upkeep.
- Grounds Care: Mow grass, trim edges, maintain landscaping, and perform other outdoor maintenance tasks to ensure the dealership presents a professional appearance.
- Support Team Efforts: Assist technicians and sales staff with prep work, seasonal storage transitions, and special projects as needed.
- Safety & Quality: Follow all safety protocols, use proper PPE, and maintain tools/equipment in good condition.
Qualifications
- Previous detailing, lot porter, landscaping, or automotive/marine experience preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate.
- Ability to operate a utility tractor, pressure washer, and basic hand/power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality results.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and work in all weather conditions (WI summers and shoulder seasons).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to operate boats/trailers a plus).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
