Title: Accountant
Reports to: Re-Grow Program Director
Location / Hours: San Juan, Puerto Rico – Full-Time position
Purpose: The Accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Re-Grow Program by executing daily tasks with strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills, and effective problem solving to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Among the most important activities to coordinate for the Re-Grow project are:
- Processing program payments, following up with vendors, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Monitor and maintain updated aging. Vendor maintenance in QuickBooks.
- Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, including processing payments, producing statements of accounts, collections on overdue accounts, and account reconciliation when required. Monitor and maintain updated aging. Customer maintenance in QuickBooks.
- Ensure that transactions meet internal controls as established by Re-Grow program regulations and/or standard operating procedures (SOP), when applicable, or best practices.
- Processing Employee timesheets and expense reports and entering into the finance systems.
- Invoice creation and distribution when required.
- Assist with special projects as required

Qualifications & Technical Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Finance / Accounting)
• Post-Secondary degree in accounting (or equivalent work experience)
• 1-3 years accounting experience
• QuickBooks experience is a definite asset
• Detail-oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
• Strong MS Office skills
• Effective time management skills
• Enhanced verbal and interpersonal communications skills (Spanish/English)
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to favorably represent the Company image to clients
