Pharmacist (Afternoon Shift | Onsite – Milwaukee, WI)
Primary Location: 11739 West Bradley Road, Milwaukee, WI 53224
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Pharmacist (Afternoon Shift) for our premier healthcare client.
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Mon–Fri, potential Saturdays)
Education and Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.
- Active Wisconsin Pharmacist (RPh) License required.
- Prior experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, medication dispensing, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and leadership skills.
What You’ll Do
Job Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or drug interactions.
- Ensure all pharmaceutical operations comply with state and federal regulations.
- Counsel patients on prescriptions, side effects, and proper medication usage.
- Provide clinical services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on medical device handling (e.g., glucose meters, BP monitors).
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmaceutical inventory.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
