Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient-focused Community Pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure the highest standards of clinical and regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional care to patients. The Pharmacist will lead the daily activities of the pharmacy, supervise staff, and play a central role in advancing Hayat’s commitment to accessible and community-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate prescription and billing records
- Interpret, verify, and dispense medications while counseling patients on safe and effective use
- Collaborate with prescribers on clarifications, formulary alternatives, and cost-effective care
- Lead and support pharmacy staff, including technicians, pharmacists, and student interns
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, verification, and removal of expired stock
- Administer vaccines and injectable medications and follow quality, safety, and infection control procedures
- Participate in community outreach, patient education, and ongoing communication with leadership to support Hayat’s patient-centered standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Active and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin
- Federal DEA registration and certification for vaccine administration
- Five or more years of pharmacy experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, formulary management, and dispensing procedures
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage staff and delegate responsibilities effectively
- Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and ethical practice
- Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
